Jewelry Care
Our Materials Promise
You deserve to know what your jewelry is made of.
We’ve been making jewelry for over ten years, well before the market became flooded with pieces misleadingly sold as “gold filled.” We’ve watched that change firsthand, and it’s why we’re particular about our suppliers and transparent about the materials in every piece. Our prices reflect those materials and the craftsmanship behind our jewelry.
We believe in clear, honest descriptions. When we say 14k gold filled, we mean genuine, USA manufactured 14k gold filled components. Our Brazilian 18k gold filled materials come from a trusted private supplier, and we disclose their specifications separately so you can understand the difference.
Our commitment is simple: tell you what’s in each piece, explain how to care for it, and price it honestly to reflect its materials and craftsmanship.
14K Gold Filled
We use the highest quality USA made 14K gold filled chains and findings. They are 5% gold by weight and are made for everyday wear. While they are highly tarnish resistant and can handle getting wet, keeping it out of the water when possible will help preserve its finish for years to come. If worn in the ocean or pool, rinse with fresh water and dry well afterward. Keep away from perfumed, lotions, harsh chemicals, and store it in a clean dry place when not in use.
18K Gold Filled
We source our 18KGF chains and findings exclusively from a trusted private supplier in Brazil. Not all materials marketed as “18K gold filled” have the same construction or gold content, and gold-plated components can be sold under that label. That distinction matters to us, which is why we’re transparent about our sourcing and the specifications of the materials we use.
Our 18k gold filled components contain a bonded layer of genuine 18K gold—comprising 3% of the material’s total weight. We select our Brazilian components for their beauty, durability, rich gold finish, and more accessible pricing compared with our USA-made 14K gold-filled components. They allow us to offer certain designs at a lower price point while being transparent about their materials and care requirements.
These pieces require a little more than our 14K gold filled pieces. Showering is okay, although keeping your jewelry dry will ultimately help extend its lifespan. Salt water and chlorine should always be avoided. Keep away from perfumes, lotions, and harsh chemicals, and store in a clean, dry place when not in use.
Pearls
Pearls are natural and delicate, so a little extra care will keep them beautiful for years to come. Avoid water, perfumes, lotions, and harsh chemicals, which can damage their natural luster. Put your pearls on last when getting ready, and gently wipe them with a soft cloth after wearing. Store in a clean, dry place when not in use.
